The oldest railway station in Malaysia, Taiping Railway Station.
Visited Taiping Railway Station today and took some photos of it, it was the oldest railway in Malaysia. Taiping Railway Station was constructed on 1882 and opened on 1885. It was to facilitate the tin mining industry and transport them to Port Weld ( now Kuala Sepetang ) then export to Penang, before train is available tin was transported by elephant. The trips by elephant would take about 2-3 days in limited quantities, so by train they can carry more loads and travel time is shortened to just few hours. The station remain until today but a new station is under construction to replace the old station ( to facilitate electrified double track from Ipoh to Padang Besar). The rail line between Taiping and Port Weld is closed after tin mining industry is weakened. The track remain until 1980's before removed by the authorities. The Port Weld station sign board is still there, but not the station.we can saw there is Chinese, English, Tamil and Jawi word on it " PORT WELD"

PCB photo shooting
Yesterday went to Perdana resort PCB for HDR photo shooting with Teck Wei, after we set-up our tripod and begin to take photos, the police at the guardhouse waving at us ask us to leave, and one of them come to us and told us here can't take photo anymore, you need a permit in order to take picture, or being fined RM500. WTH RM500 for taking photo in a resort, this is way too much. He said : this is new rules from our new GM, or you can rent a chalet then can take photos around. After all we pack all our stuff and leave the resort and went to PCB beach to take some photos.
