Tua Pek Kong Temple, Pasir Panjang, Sitiawan, Perak ,Malaysia.

Tua Pek Kong Temple or (品仙祠大伯公和观音堂) located at  coastal of Pasir Panjang, Sitiawan, it's more than 100 years old, the major attraction are 98 statues of deities and animals from Chinese lunar calendar which is make from granite stone in China and shipped to here, large statues were cut in small pieces and later assembled by imported China mason here. Beside temple there is a Monkey Park located in the mangrove swamps next to temple, a dedicated boardway being build on top the the swamp to let visitor enjoy the view and observe the wildlife there, groups of monkey playing around there.  Some devotees managed to strike fortune there by betting in game using water from guan yin to wash their car number plate, that why i can see a lot of people taking the water.

key in gps coordinates will help you to the entrance of the temple, there is signboard direction to the tample along the road. if lost ask local people around they should know this temple.

It's a beautiful and worth visit temple, beside the giant statues and wonderful landscaping,besides that  visit in the evening will let you  enjoy the magnificent sunset ( temple located beside the sea).

Taiping, Perak, Malaysia.

Taiping, developed during industry revolution in tin mining industry in the 19th century and become capitol of Perak (replacing Kuala from 1876 to 1937) and then replaced by Ipoh . It's a beautiful and peaceful town to visit. Taiping lake garden is the "masterpiece" of tin mining industry and lastly being transformed into a serene lake garden. 

Beside the tranquil lake, many colonial building are well preserved in Taiping, most of the building is now occupied by government agency. It'd the oldest modern prison in Malaysia (Malaya then)  established in 1879 Taiping prison is the largest of it kind at that time. Beside that Taiping railway was the oldest (opened on 1885) in Malaysia ( Malaya then) connecting Taiping to Port Weld (  now Kuala Sepetang)  to facilitate tin mining industry. It also the wettest town in Malaysia; receiving 4000mm of rain per year ( average 2000-2500mm) .

Taiping Lake Garden

Looking for a tranquil lake weekend gateway? Taiping lake garden is the answer; located near to Bukit Larut,Taiping . It's build on an abandoned tin mine (64 hectares), opened in 1880 it's the first public garden in Malaysia. It's popular with joggers, couples, wedding photos, and tourist. 

Tranquil lake, boat paddling, Huge rain trees (Albizia saman)  that stretching from the road into the lake, Taiping Zoo,  ten scenic lakes and ponds, bridges, tracks for jogging, playground,etc
