Gunung Brinchang (2,032 m (6,667 ft) ) located at Sungai Palas is the second highest mountain in Cameron Highlands and the highest tarmac covered road in Malaysia. At this altitude moss likely to grow and transform it into mossy forest. Mossy forest formed at high altitude with low-level cloud covering the mountains with moisture and mist this conditions is suitable for moss and others vegetation to grow and form the Hobbit like mossy forest. It's branch ecology of tropical montane forest system.

wind breaker - the wind might be strong at the observation tower.
Sport shoe - for hiking
water - to keep hydrated
camera - to keep the memories
drive slowly and carefully, some road is very narrow might need to make way for opposite car
Keep your feet on the solid ground while hiking around the mossy forest, the ground is kind of spongy and some of the trails is steep so hike with care.
Climb up the observation tower and you can see the breathtaking panoramic view of Titiwangsa mountains.
How to go:
From Brinchang town it's about 12km tarmac road drive ( small and steep road)
When reach the junction to Sungai Palas Teh Boh turn left and follow the road until reached the top.
Mossy forest located around 1800m so you can park your car at roadside and hike along the available trails.
The boardwalk covered mossy forest is located 2km before Gunung Brinchang peak it can be seen with a sign and a pavilion.
Once you reach top of the mountain you will see few telecommunication towers and a observation tower there.
