Kuala Besar, Moonlight beach ( PCB ) photo shooting.

A productive weekend with McD breakfast ( with r.yi, ting wendy), driving unplanned and reached Kuala Besar and PCB ( with Tyan and Wendy) for photo shooting and lastly went to Pantai Irama, Bachok ( r.yi,ting s.yin and wendy) . It was a hot day and i din't apply any sunblock on my fast-tanned skin. So the consequences =  burned skin..Lol
The water in the river kind of muddy due to heavy pour in the upstream , It's look like TEH "beng" (milk tea) to me  :)

The oldest railway station in Malaysia, Taiping Railway Station.

Visited Taiping Railway Station today and took some photos of it, it was the oldest railway in Malaysia. Taiping Railway Station was constructed on 1882 and opened on 1885. It was to facilitate the tin mining industry and transport them to Port Weld ( now Kuala Sepetang ) then export to Penang, before train is available tin was transported by elephant. The trips by elephant would take about 2-3 days in limited quantities, so by train they can carry more loads and travel time is shortened to just few hours. The station remain until today but a new station is under construction to replace the old station ( to facilitate electrified double track from Ipoh to Padang Besar). The rail line between Taiping and Port Weld is closed after tin mining industry is weakened. The track remain until 1980's before removed by the authorities. The Port Weld station sign board is still there, but not the station.we can saw there is Chinese, English, Tamil and Jawi word on it " PORT WELD"
